Wearing and Juggling many Hats
I am a daughter, a sister, a self starter, a traveller, a tech enthusiast, a creative, a keen eye, and an entrepreneur. Each of these roles have moulded my career path as I am currently the Brand and Marketing Manager at Antigua Computer Technology (ACT). ACT is a second-generation family business that my father built 30+ years ago with the mission to bring the Caribbean Community into the Future through technological advancements in the Caribbean region. His legacy continued as we, his kids, continue to grow the company across fields within the Technology and Solar Energy industry. With this, I currently manage 4 brands across ACT's portfolio-- AllMart — Local Marketplace (Antigua's first online shopping platform), GreenTech Solar Antigua (our Battery Storage & Renewable Energy Solutions), RadioShack (our Consumer & Enterprise Goods Commerce), and ACT (our Internet and Technology Services Solutions).
I can proudly say that I have and continue to develop strategic thinking, analytical skills, ideation and much more through both real-world experiences and by just living everyday. It is through my heritage, education and work experience that I have developed my passion for marketing. These have developed my ability to solve problems as they arise, see challenges as opportunities, and practice perseverance every day.
My Academia
I earned my BA Advertising (with specialities in Media Planning and Brand Strategy & Research) at Temple University, PA. This is where I developed fundamental skills in strategic thinking and research, creativity and storytelling, and have amplified my love for data and its analysis. During my undergrad I pushed my boundaries, competed (and won) global competitions, learned technical skills, and gained industry experience in SEO, SEM, SMM, traditional advertising, media planning & strategy, content strategy, and web coding.
I then went on to earn my MSc in Strategic Marketing at Imperial College Business School in London, UK. Why? Because I love to learn, to grow, and to become the best version of myself on both a professional and personal front. Education and experience are the forefront of growth, and I sure as heck want to be ahead of the game.
Follow me along my journey of passion and enthusiasm as I continue to aim for the stars, to juggle hats, and most importantly, become the best version of myself.
